Drinking Water for New Zealand
Managed by ESR for the Ministry of Health. Data extracted from the National WINZ Database. |

TAP will be managed in each of 10 regions by a TAP Facilitator. These are experienced public health professionals based in District Health Boards that have been seconded to the programme. The TAP facilitator will contact communities that show interest in TAP, and help them through the various steps.
A big feature of the TAP approach is that the Facilitators will set up TAP Groups all over their region. While these will vary in size and characteristics, the idea is to bring together interested people representing small supplies in one district for regular meetings at which supply management and improvement will be discussed. The TAP Facilitator or technical experts will often speak at these meetings, but participants will also gain real-life knowledge from discussions with their fellow suppliers.
